whitlow doesn't shed without obvious lesions present.
Thank you in advance for reading...I really appreciate your help.
I have yet to have anything in the way of blisters that would suggest anything Whitlow related, but I was just wondering if you can shed virus from your hands without having had a whitlow issue? I worry about touching my own areas and inadvertently transmitting something of mine to my girlfriend (we did reconcile in the end). I wash my hands very regularly but I have had little pin prick types of sensations as well as numbness in my hands and I worry about them being related to any sort of infection.
Oh, this was actually a completely separate question.
you can contract whitlow from fingering someone but overall the risk is very low. really no reason to suspect that you contracted it. if you were going to show symptoms you would've had them within 2-20 days post encounter.
it's most helpful when you just keep adding all your questions to your original post - thanks!
