Herpes infection? Or overreacting?

Hi
I am a 24 year old single male who has been living in China for the past year.
Around Friday 15th July I noticed a couple of small red spotted areas (roughly 1cm diameter) at the top of my left inner thigh/groin area a small distance apart.
One of the areas has maybe 5 small yet visible spots and the other area it is difficult to say as the area is somewhat smaller and lighter in colour.
These spots were not huge and did not have the appearance of burn blisters as I've read can be the case with herpes.

Over the past few days they have been slightly oozing clear liquid but after having applied Savlon antiseptic cream and washing/keeping the area dry and aired the oozing has stopped. The areas of skin are now peeling slightly and the redness is going down. There are no visible ulcers or brown scabs.

In the days preceding the redness occurring, I had been doing some pretty physical tasks at work that had left my boxer shorts warm and moist when I had finished.

My last sexual encounter was around 23rd June.

Could this be herpes or could it just be some sort of heat rash/jock itch caused by the sweaty work I had been doing?

To my recollection I have never had anything that looks like this in my groin area that I have noticed in the past.
I'm worried sick and would appreciate any advice that anyone could offer.

Thanks.

Yes it would appear on the genital area not the thigh

The girl with whom I had my last sexual encounter produced a lot of vaginal fluid whilst we were having intercourse which obviously transferred to my thigh area.

There was also a period when the condom had come off without either of us realising which probably last around 5 minutes.

The girl in question told me she had been in a relationship for around 4 years up until about 3 weeks before we had intercourse which led me to believe that the risk of me catching anything from her would be significantly lower than if it happened with someone else.

Any more input would be much appreciated and would help put my mind at rest.

Thanks
My question being, could any of this be related to the 2 red spotted areas on my upper thigh/groin crease area

Hi yes it would appear as a head rash not herpes because of the area and the what your describing.

Everything I've read online seems to point to herpes. I'm so worried!

The two red circles of spots are in the crease between my thigh and my crotch. When my legs are closed my scrotum touches the two areas however there are no signs of red spots on my scrotum, penis shaft or head.

Does herpes tend to appear on the genitals rather than on the thigh/groin area when it first appears after no previous signs of infection?
I haven't suffered any other symptoms such as the flu, high temperature or aches and pains that are out of the ordinary.

The spots aren't painful, they just feel kind of prickly when I'm moving around but that could because of the hair in the surrounding areas rubbing against them.

I don't know what to think.
