Herpes initial outbreak question

I recently had protected sex, and unprotected oral sex (giving and receiving) with a woman. I didn't know her before this encounter, and afterwards she assured me she had been tested recently, came up negative for everything, and had only been with one guy besides me since then. This was 5 days ago, and while I've had no real symptoms to indicate any STDs, I'm still worried.

a couple days ago however, i noticed a weird little red rash type thing on my shoulder. It's very possible it's been there a while and I just never noticed it before, but I notice it now. It doesn't hurt or even have any raised texture to it (as if it's under the skin or just flat). I know that if you get herpes, you'll normally have an inital outbreak a few days afterwards. What i'm wondering is, could an intial outbreak appear somewhere besides the genitals or mouth? is it possible this shoulder thing is herpes or am I just being paranoid?

odds are your sore throat isn't std related at all. if you are concerned about it being a std, go and be seen and ask for swabbing. usually sore throats are just plain ole sore throats and not herpes or std related.

Thanks grace! One more question. I developed a sore throat yesterday and have had it a couple days. I don't have any other symptoms, but could that be a sign I have it?

a rash on your shoulder isn't concerning for a std.
