Do i have Herpes

I have noticed 5 days ago red bumps (about 9 of them) show up on the shaft of my penis. They are painless maybe a little itchy but not to the point I am scratching all day. Now they have a darker depression/ maybe a very small scab on the top. Nothing is coming out of the bumps. I have never had anything like this before. I am currently over seas and have not had intercourse for over three months and that was with my wife. Also it was protected and I havn't had unprotected sex for almost 3 years.

never use antibiotic cream on your genitals unless specifically directed to do so. it isn't meant to be used there and m any folks have sensitive skin reactions and cause worse problems than they started with :(

if you are in the military, they have medical folks who can look at this for you.

I looked at the Dermnet site and they look kind of like the type 2 in some pictures except not bright red and no craters. They still have a bump with it. They have never been painful or crusty. I havn't found a picture that looks like what I got however the type 2 did have the closest resemblence in 1 of the 70 pictures they had. But like I said this is the only symptom I have. I am in a third world country and it is very possible I could have been in contact with something that may carry bacteria or a fugus of some type. If you know of anything that could cause something like this please give me a name so I can look it up and see if it looks similar.

I can't do that for another 3-4 months. The bumps have went down in size and still no pain. They just have very small scabs. If fungal or bacterial infections will a triple anitbotic cream work? Also is it normal not to have any blisters for almost three years then your first break out have no symptoms other then a few bumps like what I'm experiancing?

best to be seen to find out what is going on. this could be many things including a fungal infection or a bacterial infection so a check up is the best thing to do next.
