Herpes risk and symptoms

7 days ago I had brief unprotected oral, and lasting protected vaginal sex.  From what I could see before we started, and I looked, I did not see any lesions..  After though she was laying down on her stomach, I noticed a mark on the inner thigh of her below the buttocks, which has me very worried.  Today, at day 7 I got into the shower and the warm water hit my inner thigh and I immediately felt a different sensation. I jumped out to look at it, and do see a red area, with one small red dot.  Nothing looks raised or blistering at this time, but it could be in initial stages. Of course now, that area feels itchy, and burning, but that's common once u start worrying about something. I have 3 questions.

1) If the mark on her inner thigh was an active herpes lesion, what are the chances of contracting herpes while having protected sex?

2) Can an intial outbreak develop on the inner thigh, it would be at the bottom on a normal pair of boxers length.  It is the inner thigh, but not totally inside, as I get Folliculitis often, and know the symptoms of this, and they are usually further inside my thigh and higher up.  My concern is this area of my thigh, rubbing the area of her inner thigh.  To date I have nothing on my penis or immediate pubic region.

3) Is the inner thigh, I would say 5 inches down from the base of my scrotum, and susceptible skin region for herpes?

Thanks for any help!

Still extremely unlikely compared to other possibilities.

Present for medical advice and a swab if you have concerns. This is the best thing you can do.

Well the irritated skin seems to be forming into 2 bumps. I'm confident I made the mistake of my life. Again it's 5 inches down my inner thigh, everyone says that would not be a normal place for an initial infection, but it is possible correct? Especially if he lesion was on her leg rubbing I that area?

No it doesn't change things one bit, same answer. You are stressing too much and the story is changing. Don't go fishing!

Thank for the reply, I much appreciate it. Maybe describing her mark as below her buttocks wasn't very accurate, for lack of better description let's say 3 inches down from her vagina on inner thigh. Would that change your response?

Let's assume it was an active lesion. With protected sex what are odds of transmission?

Slow down, way overthinking this!

A mark on her thigh below her butt is not likely to be herpes at all.

An initial herpes infection is unlikely to appear solely on the thigh, the skin is way too thick for infection.

There is nothing here remotely suggestive of herpes. All is fine!
