hsv1+2 IGm index value 0.60 and hsv1+2 Igg index value 1.45 meaning?

I have been tested with hsv1+2 igg 1.45 index value and igm 0.60 , I don't have any symptoms as of today , can you please guide me if I have hsv1 or 2 and what does low positive index imply?

I really don't like when they combine the hsv tests. The results are confusing and some what useless. Yes you had a very low positive test result which can mean anything or absolutely nothing. I bet you don't have either hsv strain.
The best advice I can give you is have another blood test done. No igm testing. Just get a type specific igg test for hsv1 and hsv2. Meaning they test each one separately, so you will have a result value for each

Thanks , but does HSV1+2 means the index has been cumulative... can 1.45 attribute to 1.1 HSV1 and 0.3 HSV 2. Is this kind of calculation justified?
Yes it has been cumulative. Yes that is justified especially if you have had cold sores. It could also be a false positive altogether. I have witnessed this so many times. If you don't get cold sores then I recommend a new separate test.
When was your last unprotected sexual exposure?
I had an oral sex from a korean girl at a club in manila exactly one month back. Till now I have no laisons. I got tested because I was feeling uncomfortable at my penis tip. Today my pain grew more for about 5 mins but no sign of any blister. I masturbate daily till the point I am about to come. I have observed that when I get aroused the penis opening swells up and the pain starts. Am I having an outbreak or a UTI? Any idea?
It's not an outbreak that's for sure. If you had a newly acquired genital hsv1 infection, you'd know it. The are most often very harsh. What you describe is not hsv related
I still dont understand the meaning of HSV1+2 1.45 Igg , is there any medical literature in support of the fact that the value 1.45 is the sum of index value of HSV1 and HASV 2 antibodies??? If its true then I might not be having HSV at all because the break up between HSV1 and 2 might be 0.9 and 0.55 in this case both are negative ... Please can you put some light on this??
If you had a combined test it will have only one value. If they were separate then they would have a value for hsv1 and hsv2. I don't have your test results so I can't say for sure. Either way the number is so low it's doubtful you have hsv of any kind.
Call your Dr and ask if this was combined
