From past post it looks like you experience the same as me? Correct me if I'm wrong. I belive I'm having a outbreak of hsv2 on my top butt crack where the crack meets the back. I have hsv2 for about a year now. My questions are I have this small lump that itches like crazy all day and night. Last night I woke up and itched it and it was bleeding. Is this a herpes outbreak? On my shaft it would never bleed and on my butt it itches 10x worse and bleeds. How contagious are these sores on the butt? I used my direct fingernail and did not wash my hands after I itched and went back to sleep. Can I spread this to my fingernail/fingers and spread it to my blankets or other parts of my body such as eyes by rubbing them at night? How can I control this unbearable itch? I'm to embarrast to see a doctor. Please let me know how you deal?

Hi, herpes sore very most often tend to reappear in the same spot give or take an inch. So if youve not had breakouts there its mostly likely not herpes on your butt. It cant be spread from finger nails or blankets.

Testing is the only way to confirm what you have going on. How can we say its herpes or not? Also your requesting catlinbarefeet to answer your post.

If you tested positive for hsv2 in your genital area and have had an outbreak on the shaft, getting them on your butt crack would not be very common as herpes tends to breakout in the same spot give or take an inch. It is possible however so i would suggest having them swabbed to find out. Its best to swab within 48 hours so if its been longer, let these heal and the next time you have an issue with them in that spot have them swabbed as this is the only way to know.
