Prodrome symptoms?

I'm confused about prodrome symptoms.  For the past six days, I've had lower back/butt pain.  Dull and achy on and off and mostly when I sit down.  I've also had headaches on and off.  Just today I woke up and the tops of my thighs feel warm, almost sunburn like.

I have no sores or lesions anywhere and I'm just wondering if this could be prodrome for an upcoming outbreak.

Thanks.

Paranoid-

I appreciate you writing this.  Like your name, I'm a completely paranoid/anxiety-ridden person and since my exposure that's made me freak out this way wasn't even sex, it just freaks me out thinking I caught something while being safe...

It was very nice of you to write that - thank you.

mate, i say this with the best possible intentions.

i had exposure about 4 weeks ago and have had a slight follicitus rash on my inner thighs along with a few bumps here and there.

honestly, its all in my head and im pretty sure its in your head too. as long as your test has come out negative, you have nothing to worry about really.

i know its scary and extremely worrysome, but as the gentleman above said, you're fine. in the end we all have to live with something, and you're living with something that probably doesnt exist. we tend to relate everything itch and scratch to a problem we are afraid of having.

YOURE FINE. pop a beer and sit back and smile. and please think before putting yourself in a similar position again.

cheers

I just have a few final questions.  Promise.

Like I said, 3 weeks after exposure was when I felt any symptoms (itchiness down in scrotum, sort of around penis head, but no sores or cuts), then the lower back pain with the nerve sensations (same type of pain that I have now - warmth on the top of my thighs) and then back pain and chafed feeling near anus that I inspected many times that and eventually got an anal fissure/crater after about 5 weeks of exposure and that hurt for a good week or two, but then it started to get better.

Week 7-9 I was good until right after 9, I got the lower back pain again for a week and the nerve sensations just started early yesterday and have still been here but not as bad today.

My questions are this:

1) Since I still have an anal fissure that's recovering, could that still serve as a second outbreak without any pain?  Or would sores have to appear again and sting/hurt?
2) With the whole nerve sensations, I know it's been said that my lower half symptoms are unlike Herpes.  If this is true, what about all the prodrome symptoms I hear about, especially pointing out the sunburn feeling in the thighs?  Or postherpetic neuralgia?  It can't be any of these?  Could it be psychosomatic?  I'm anxiety ridden to the max.
3) If I get tested anywhere from 75-78 days (ie possibly test on the 75th and possibly the 78th), would there be any difference with the test?  If they came back negative, could I conclude I'm good?

That's it.  I'm done.  Just need to know those things.

Thank you for everything!

Correction, its NOT related to herpes from a recent affair and having outbreaks in the anal area is not common as most have outbreaks in the same spot, give or take an inch.

Life,

I'm confused.  You're saying that the anal fissure "IS" Herpes related?

I never got sores on my penis shaft or pubic mound before.  I've also not had sex since last year.

I just got the fissure late April/early May and it's been in process of healing over time.  Just lately has it started to burn and itch a bit more.

Thanks.

If your anal area did not have any exposure to recent sex, then the fissure is herpes related as first time sores appear at point of contact like the penis shaft or pubic mound area. As Fleetwood mentions, your other symptoms are not suggestive of herpes esp your kneecaps being on fire.

Can you say why that is?

I've heard that the sunburn feeling on the legs is a huge symptom of Herpes as well as lower back pain as well as the shock feelings.  And then I had the crack/fissure thing and I'm just thinking this is my second outbreak oncoming.

Like what else could it be?  It all screams HSV in my head.

I'm freaking out at this point from an encounter I thought would be safe from and I just don't know what to do...thanks.

Nothing suggestive of herpes in what you describe. The test will be fine at 11 weeks.

Bumping this.

I noticed there's a small bump right above my buttocks.  It looks like a zit.  Feels sore when I rub it, but it itches on and off.

Also, wondering if the zapped shock feelings/soreness around knees could be from tight jeans?  I wear slim fit.

Also, is 11.25 weeks (79 days) a good indicator?  That's the only time I can get a test done.

Thank you!

Just checking back on this.  It's starting to feel cracked and itchy again near anus, but this doesn't seem like prodrome maybe?

But it has only been a week and maybe this is the outbreak happening now?

Thanks for getting back to me.  This is actually my second case of this.

My first was 1-3 weeks after possible exposure.  I also gained somewhat of a lesion near my anus below my scrotum after this time.

Also now on my back/butt it sometimes feels itchy and there's a zap feeling in my thighs like I'm being shocked.  My lesion has gotten better.  I guess it's more like a fissure but its started to get itchy and stingy again.

Thanks for the help!

Herpes does not cause these symptoms and certainly not 7 weeks past possible exposure. Without symptoms in the first week and a 7 week negative test, that's pretty certain you are not infected.

Sorry last bit of info.  I tested negative HSV2 after 7 weeks of possible exposure.

I also forgot to mention for the past week or so, I have felt fatigued i.e. just very tired, warm in the face, etc, but that is getting better now.
