Hsv or psychological

Hey all so let me first start off by saying, thank you for your help.
About 7 months ago i had unprotected oral sex, and protected sex(biggest mistake of my life its ruining me mentally). No symptoms for Atleast a month or two, and im hypervigilant.

I started developing Some mild meatitis, balanitis, and my urethra is red but no real dysuria. No ulcers, just a red lacy rash. No "pissing fire", and this has been going on for 3 months now. So symptoms started atleast 2-3 months post sexual encounter. very recently ive had two bouts of rectal inflammation. One lasted about 10ish days, and now it came back! My anus is purpleish and my "butt crack" is red, there was some blood after wiping for the first time today. No ulcers or bumps.

Ive seen a urologist prescribed antibx, did nothing. Saw a dermatologist today and he said everything looks like dermatitis and refused to perform a culture. Like whAt the hell man why not?! My butt really is not happy and the blood is terrifying.

So i hope you guys can offer some advice here, i was negative for hsv 1 and 2. Herpes select test with quest. Test taken 5-6 months post encounter i believeee. But yet these symptoms are persistent could i be one of those individuals with hsv 1 and no detectable antibodies? How do i verify that i dont have any genitally related strain of hsv?

Outbreaks almost allways occur in the same spot give or take an inch. So if you had an outbreak on your penis thats where you would expect to have it again. Having a second outbreak in your rectum really goes against what studies have shown.
Also same goes with herpes inside your urethra. If you think that a primary outbreak would be in your urethra from oral sex it would not. Also having herpes inside your urethra the pain would be through the roof.
The only way to get herpes outbreaks inside your urethra from oral sex is the person lips would have to reach up inside your urethra which is impossible. Its very possible that your rectum issue is causing your penis irritation as all the nerve are connected.

Also symptoms of std would not show up 2 to 3 months later.

You can message me anytime.
Life brings up an excellent point on the hemorrhoids. I have one that presented years ago from heavy squats. It has calmed down and basically gone away.
Also hemorrhoids can be internal, external or both

Again feel free to message me if you want.

hey life360 thank you sir for your input, and after reflecting i believe i have an idea about what you were trying to say. essentially that recurrent outbreaks wouldnt occur this frequently. and of course that the presentation of the outbreak is abnormal. i think im starting to wrap my head around that. thank you for your input sir and if anything abnormal does ever occur i will be sure to let you know. take care and thiank you again

I see so could you please explain one thing for me then, how does my rectal issue go against what studies have shown? And im not asking for the studies because im sure ill misinterpert and conclude something that isnt written there. So why is it unlikely ?

I understand the sacral ganglia is what innervates the entire dermatome hence why i am so paranoid.

And yes ive seen a case on here(or the paid dr handsfield section) with a male who ckntracted hsv1 from his gf with both urethritis and a lesion on his glans i believe.

The men who have reported this constant meatal inflammation any clue as to what it could be?

So basically from whAt ive read yes youre right. But this. Isnt my primary outbreak this is my second symptom after my initial one! Which was meatitis 3 months ago that wouldnt go away. My exposure was 1-2 months prior to that.

Second ive had an knternal hemorrhoid for a year now and it NEVER presented like this hntil now. I never have hard stools i eat ALOT of fiber.

That blue red description was my first OB rectally, my most recrnt one one month after the first was just erythematous and stinging. The pain is not like defecating glass but just very sore.

Also my urethra is constantly red now no dysuria unless im dehydrated. And occasionally i grt a pinching sensation within my urethra!

Im so confused and dont want to use the prescribed steroid cream and aggravate a viral infxn you know! Just baffled

I would like to add that you have classic symptoms of hemorrhoids. Also first time outbreaks occur at point of contact so if you did not have anal unprotected sex you did not have herpes inside your rectum. Hemorrhoids can appear as ulcers as are breaks in the skin caused by pressure that bleed.

So im not sure if youve seen an image online of an ulcer within the rectum, but it looks like that. But with a white base and brown border. I assume the border is brown because of reepithelialization process.

In terms of timeline and presentation i know my symptoms dont add up. Is there anyway i may direct message you, just to talk it out.  Id appreciate it

The igg test does miss hsv1 from time to time. What you describe still does not suggest hsv. If the ulcer is still there you csn have it looked at by your physician.
My advice is if you can't get hsv out of your mind then get a westerblot test from the University of Washington.  The gold standard for hsv and a more accurate test for hsv1.
That being said I personally don't think you need more hsv testing.
So again if the ulcer is still there get it looked at. If it went away then just relax and see if it comes back.
One more thing to keep in mind. A freshly acquired hsv1 genital infection will in almost every instance come with a very classic painful initial outbreak. Fever, aches, swollen lymph nodes and herpes lesions. Everyone likes to think they're special with these nontypical symptoms but the fact is that would be very very rare and our anxiety gets the better of us.
I believe in your testing!!!!!! So should you :)

Hey so just an update, i took a look and as i stretched my anal skin there was what looked like an ulcer, shallow and nonerythematous. Maybe 1cm wide? Its too late to go for a swab now, should i wait and see if it reoccurs?

So in regards to my blood test, what are the odds of a false negative especially for hsv1? Considering i recieved unprotected oral sex.

Hey so an update, i know you said not to manipulate the area but i saw whag looked lkke to be an ulcer within my anal canal. It was singular and about alittle less than a cm in circumference.

Its been a week already since onset of symptoms, too late to swab. Should i wait until the next out break?

Hi thanks alot for the response, my gi was abit concerned when he saw the pics of my behind. The area was thoroughly inflamed, and was surprised the derm didnt culture the skin. Can i post a pic? So just based upon your personal experience with the forums n all what are the odds that these symptoms are all linked? And is hsv1 afterall

Your tests after four months are conclusive and you can flat out trust them.
You do not have hsv so keep up on what the Derm says. I once had the same symptoms on my anus. Turns out that being a ckean freak worked against me as I had basically cleaned away all the nature oils of the skin. Leaving a red cracked irritated area.
My doc suggested water only and in a week or so I felt much better.

You don't have hsv and I wish you luck on finding a solution to your issue. One more thing. The less you manipulate the are for self exams the better
