Hsv1

I received unprotected oral from someone. Is it possible that I got hsv 1 from that encounter? I’ve never been checked for it before now but my latest test says I have it. I didn’t have any kind of mouth to mouth contact with the lady. And my tongue is white and splotchy.

Annie is correct - oral hsv1 is very common. It also doesn't cause white splotches on your tongue.

If you didn't have any mouth to mouth contact with the lady, whatever is happening to your tongue is not from the encounter. See your doctor or dentist if it lingers.

Could my tongue problem be from syphilis? I’m freaking myself out and I can’t stop googling. It’s making it worse I know but I’m scared
I wish I could post a picture on here
Didn't you say you got tested for all the STDs?
You would only have syphilis sores in your mouth if you gave her oral. You were tested for syphilis, right?

Have you seen your doctor or a dentist? We can't tell you what is happening to your tongue, or if it's even something normal.

You can waste a lot of time googling stuff, but a doctor can answer this a lot more efficiently.

Is this a situation where you cheated? Is guilt involved? Guilt doesn't equal risk, and anxiety and guilt don't mean you have something.

You are asking if oral sex can give you genital HSV1? Yes, it can, but HSV1 is very common, people often have it since childhood. It is more likely you've had it a long time.
