can i cheat herpes

Im male/30yrs. I came to know tat i got hsv 1 (igg 3.8) last week. Im going to get married this week. I totally had 2 sexual encounters. One at d yr 2011 jan, wer i did french kiss, received oral(ejaculated in her mouth). Then i had around aug 2012 which was a french kisses n insertive with condom. Till date i didnt remember of getting cold sores in mouth nor in genitals.i am really depressed abt my future of having wife n children.. though i can do little to save my wife from this.. i want answers for these questions..
1. I heard that hsv1 can b oral as  well as genital.. how to find out which one i have..
2. If luckily its oral hsv1 , then if im not doing oral sex to her, can i have normal insertive sex(without condoms)  with my wife   without posing the risk of getting  her genital herpes.
3. If tats d case, then she wont b b facing any prob of genital breakouts at d time of pregnancy.. Am i right..
4.since im not sure of hsv oral r genital , pls suggest me some precautions to take before v plan for baby..

Thanks for your words of encouragement... i hav only two more questions scratching my mind.. would b verymuch thankful to u if u can address those..

1. Since i didnt get any outbreaks in genitals for almost 3 long yrs( considering my last encounter in worst case), i can assure myself tat i didnt hav hsv1 in genitals.. am i right.. if at all im having gen.herpes by bad luck... i saw in few forums tat it is not possible to transfer hsv1 to uninfected partner to genital sex.. is tat true??

2. Is ter any frequency in which i ill b spreading d virus in my saliva though im asymptomatic.. to put around.. does my saliva always infectious.. ans to this question  ill b helpful atleast to protect my children n relatives..

I really appreciate your service..

There is simply nothing to overcome. You have one of the world's most common viruses. The chances of ever in your life of transmitting it to your wife are about 50% and there is very little you can do about that. Nor is there anything you really need to do.

This is not an STD, you did not get it from sex. If you do transmit it accidentally, the person will be OK.

Hence you simply get on with your life as before you knew you had HSV1, do not give it another thought.

Again thanks for your earliest response.. your words really give me some encouragement for starting my life..u mean to say i wud have got sores in d genitals if i had gen herpes.. i dont think of getting any thing in my penis for d past 5 yrs expect for a couple of pimple, may b..even i didnt get any oral cold sore.. but i heard that there r asymptomatic ppl who wont b seeing any symptoms for gen.herpes.. is tat true.. if so, will it take 5 long yrs for a single symptom.. ??

Hsv 1 is not common in my wife's living place.. so i dont expect her to b hsv1 positive.. so obviously.. im going to transmit to her..but im sure im not going to do any oral to her.. think it ill create gen.herpes in her.. am i right??

One small thing im happy abt is im living in a joint family and v used to share food n utensils...i hav been doing this till i hav been diagnoised.. but then luckily none has got any cold sores.. none shud get one.. do u think even im mistakenly pass my saliva (not while having cold sores)to my family  members.. they ill get hsv1 oral??

Again thanks for ur excellent service..

Believe me, you'd know if you had a genital infection. The fact that you don't know essentially confirms your infection is oral.

You do not need antivirals.

Your wife probably has HSV1.

Either way it will not cause you, her or children any pain, whether you do or do not transmit it.

Really thanks for helping me out...
but my main question s tat. How i ll b knowing i only hav oral hsv1.. i just dobt want to give her genital herpes vd lot of pain to her n my future child..also i read something like asymptomatic shedding.. wat s d normal chances of it in a year for hsv1. I liv in a joint family... so watever happens to me  doesnt stop with me..  wats ur idea abt anti viral suppression. Will it workout if im having genitak herpes and dont want to pass it to her..

You like some 70% of the population have an oral HSV1 infection.

As such there is no need for any precautions beyond simply avoiding contact if you have a cold sore, nothing more practically to do.
