Confusion over herpes blood test results.

Back in mid-December I gave and received oral sex from a female who in formed me she had hsv 2. Was a terrible idea I know. I waited over a month and went and had a full panel of std test done at the end of January. Those test came back negative.  At the first of March I notices a small sore that was not puss filled on the shaft of my penis. I waited over the weekend to see if it would go away. That small sore began to heal and then 5 days after the initial soar a cluster of puss filled sores arouse next to it. I went back to the doctor and he said it definitely looked like herpes but wanted to wait to conduct another blood test. Is it common for the false negative? And is it also common for it to take this long to appear?

If you only had oral sex with this person, you could NOT possibly have an hsv2 infection on your penis. You doctor may have to go back and redo med school and pay better attention during virology class.

Blood test usually aren’t conclusive for at least 3-4 months from what I hear on here. So she had oral hsv2 ? Because unless your penis touched her vagina, your not going to get gential hsv2. It could be that she has oral hsv1 which is common and she gave that to you. Also the doctor should swab the sores. If I were you I would go back or get to a dermatologist ASAP and get a pcr swab.
