Hello,
I took a herpes IgG blood test 13 weeks after my last sexual encounter as part of a general STD screening.
Results were
HSV1 : >5
HSV2: 1.17
A little background. I have only had two sexual partners. One of which was a year ago, I was only with him once and I got oral type 1 from him at the time of the encounter, presented with a typical oral outbreak, no genital symptoms of any kind.
The other sexual partner I was with for six months, and have not been with him for 13 weeks.
My question is, what is the likelihood that this is a false positive..?
And if it is not a false positive is there any chance that it came from the man a year ago or would it have to have come from my most recent partner?
Thanks
