Does this sound like genital herpes?

2 days after having sex with my husband, that included oral sex on me, I started to have painful urination. I thought I was getting a UTI. A day later my genital area became swollen and the skin hurt. The skin pain, painful to the touch, kind of felt like a sunburn with no redness, moved to my right leg. A couple days later it moved down to my shin then to my ankle. Each time the skin pain moved to another place, it stopped hurting in previous spot. I saw something online about skin pain being a symptom of genital herpes. This is not the first time it has happened. I would say it's happened maybe 3 or 4 times before and spread pretty far apart in occurrence. What makes me think GH is possible is because my husband gets cold sores although we've been careful not to do anything when he's having an outbreak. I have never seen or felt any lesions or painful bumps. Just a swollen and pressure feeling on and around my vagina at the start of the episode, followed by painful skin. It also always goes down my right leg.

Any help is appreciated.

Wow fast response. I feel much better knowing that herpes pain doesn't move. Its really not even a pain. It feels like my skin is sunburned.

This sounds something other than herpes.  Herpes pain doesn't move to another part of the body like that.  The movement does concern me a little and I would highly recommend speaking with your provider about this.  Herpes pain is typically localized to the area of lesions.

I would say you should probbly be tested using a type specific igg test just to know your status but overall oral sex is a low risk for herpes transmission.  But I suggest testing only to keep an eye on your HSV status if you are so inclined.  However this doesn't sound like HSV.
