igm reliability

This probably was discussed over and over again, and I apologize for any repetition. If igm testing is unreliable when positive, then is it reliable when negative? I have read that if igm is positive, and igg is ALSO positive, then you are having a recurring outbreak.

Thanks

No, a + igg and +igm doesn't mean a recurrence either. The igm doesn't work that way.
