Medical Records

Are my medical records private?  Will my employer find out if I have been exposed to HSV?  This should be the least of my concerns at this point, but I work in a small office and I am terrified that they will find out.

There is one exception and that is if you take a physical with a company which requires a physical! You literally sign over your rights to them and they can look at ANYTHING they want to test!!!!  If they take blood and want to test for Herpes or HIV, when you sign the papter for the physical you literally sign over your rights to the company to look at you.. Other than that, they won't know anything!!!

Yes. They are private. There are laws about confidentiality that protect your medical records. Now worry about something much more pressing, like whether John ("war for another hundred years") McCain is elected. Now that's terrifying.
