On April 17, 2013 I received vaccinations to go on a trip to Africa. I received Typhoid, Meningitis, Yellow fever, Polio, and my first Hep A. On May 7, 2013 I went for my annual pap and requested a full panel for HIV, and STD's. I obtained the results that everything was well except I showed a positive result on HSV one was a value of 1.1 and the other was a value of 3.25. My IgG levels were raised. I have never had any cold sores nor have I had any sores in my vagina. Could my vaccinations have raised my levels to show HSV? Also if so how long should I wait to be retested?

you don't have to drink plenty of water for herpes testing.

you should be seeking out a herpes WB blood test 4 months after you last had sex at this point if you are in the US.

Okay so my HSV 1 was 5.00 and my HSV 2 is 3.21.   They have also told me I was positive for mono but I don't have it currently. Could this be a false positive. I plan on drinking plenty of water and getting adequate rest and retesting this Friday.... Thank you for your help.

If you can post your actual test results here - e.g. hsv1 igg 5.3 and hsv2 igg 3.4 or whatever they are, I can better help you. the way you have posted them now isn't clear as to the testing you had done - thanks!
