about 8 weeks ago went to a strip club and the dancer and me both touched her genital region, directly afterwards we both touched my gential region. About 10 to 14 days later started feeling achy and running a fever. I never noticed any blisters or sores. Started doing research and then appeared I was having many more symptoms, like tender testicles, tingling, ithcy, and muscle aches. I have an Igg type specific test done at 5 weeks; hsv1= 6.06 (have history of oral blisters/herpes, so I knew this would be positive) hsv2=0.07. Saw my doctor and she refered me to a urolgoist, and after examination, seeing test results, and describing encounter she doesn't feel it is gential herpes. Still worried and experiencing other symptoms, I have another Igg test done at 7 weeks; hsv1= 6.93 and hsv2=0.17. I was concerned about this increase, but after speaking with a serology expert, I found out that every test result can vary due to the manner in which they are tested. I spoke with a reseacher in herpes serology and was informed that most people will test positive between 6-8 weeks. I have not had any blisters or sores around my gential region, but still was experiencing some of the other symptoms. Today I nonticed a breakout of some sort on both my left and right buttock. I went immediately to my doctor and she informed me it wasn't a herpes outbreak. She reported that she has many patients that have herpes, and what I was presenting with wasn't a herpes outbreak. I also was having itching and tingling around my entire back and chest. I was informed that wouldn't be related to herpes.
My question is: Do I need to be worried, or am I letting my anxiety and fear get the best of me and letting every little thing be blown out of proportion?
Thanks!!!
