Mysterious Rash! Help!

I used to shave my pubic region a lot with a razor, and I have always had problems with ingrown hairs. Well about 2 weeks ago I noticed ingrown hairs so I plucked them with tweezers along with a spot on my knee. Red, raised, very itch rashes could be seen in the areas that I plucked the next day. They oozed a little and the fluid appeared clear and on a piece of toilet paper looked slightly yellow. Like I said they were very itchy and seemed to spread a little with after I stopped scratching it was almost cleared leaving flakey, dried dead skin where the rashes were. Fast forward a couple days and the spot on my knee got very irritated from my scratching and was oozing a lot and the rash spread and infected the other leg. It's finally starting to heal very slowly but just as that's healing I was being stupid and started scratching my pubic area. The pubic area is red and itchy I have one bigger soar on the top edge of pubic hair and there are very tiny ones as well. I went to the doctor to check the knee and prescribed herpes medicine but she doesn't really know what it is as of now she took swabs of knee. As for my "history" I have only had sex with 3 partners all of them I have used condoms with except for my current boyfriend; we
have been dating for over a year now and it seems very unlikely to come from him. Is this genital herpes?

Hi, you can rule out the knee area as is not common for an outbreak and the one in your pubic area would appear as you suggest, an ingrown hair. If your concerned about herpes, then have a blood test.

Oh, and there is no burning while urinating just itching at the infected areas.
