Not an expert, just a guy who thinks these other folks are completely clueless when they discuss Lysine.
Looked at your pic. Doesn't look like herpes at all to me. I've gotten cold sores for 30 years.

Here is a picture. My iphone doesn't have a better focus but that's all I could do. Any advice will be greatly appreciated
Okay, I'm going to a dermatologist and see what he can do. I have no blisters I just have these weird tiny "pimples" that have black tops. Again you'd have to be really close it's just bugging me out. Anyone know about this??
The doctor told me it might possibly be another virus and it should clear out on its own. The only thing is it has been 4 weeks and they are still there. I was reading about hydrocortisone being applied and that didnt work also. As well as coconut oil. I'm helpless!!
No - the substances you used would not have affected your blood test.
If it's herpes, you would have had to have gotten it in a somewhat convoluted way - because of her negative IgG, she would have had to contract it herself recently and have been shedding when she kissed you. It's not impossible. Did you ask her whether she'd kissed anyone else in the last few months?
The very next time you have a fresh blister, go and get it swabbed right away - don't wait more than 48 hours or you risk a false negative. And also, you should both get another IgG in early February, 16 weeks past exposure, to see whether any antibodies have generated.
Hi, if the bumps came the next day and you tested negative at 5 weeks then it would not be herpes related as a new infection, symptoms would be at 3 days as takes time for the virus to mulitply, travel to the spine and work its way back up to the lip surface.
12 weeks would be conclusive but 5 weeks may show a low positive but not always.
