Conflicting Info on Sex Safety

Hi all,

I am hoping an authority on the subject will chime in. I want to see a sex worker. Now, many, many people have said that catching a disease is just one of the risks you take. However, I really cannot let this happen. None of us want this, or course. I've seen some people say that, even though chances are slim, you may still get an STD even if wearing a condom as the herpes or whatever the case may be might be in the groin area. Many of the posts on this forum, however, dispute that and many responses say that it's very unlikely. If you can contact herpes or whatever from the groin area then that means you can also get something just from having a nude body rub where her genital is touching yours. What should I believe? In addition, I'm confused about unprotected oral sex (both my giving her oral sex and it being performed on me, mostly the latter) and deep tongue kissing. Again, if you look around the web, you can find people saying that there's a high chance that you'll contact an STD from oral sex or even from kissing. On here, however, the consensus seems to be that it's not likely. I want to be so sure about this before I do anything. I really only want occasional fun not a lifetime of regret. Thank you!
