Possible Herpes - Recurrent Symptoms

Hi There,
On January 25th I went to a massage parlour and where I recieved a full body massage and handjob. During the handjob she placed a finger (no glove) in my rectum about 3/4 inches in, so not deep. I touched her body parts but at no point did her face or gentials touch mine. 3  weeks later I had an itchy rectum which I never had before followed by 4 days of serious burning in my rectum, scrotum, perinium and buttocks. It would burn the whole area together. I also have an issue with chronic urethritis i have seen a urologist about, and this seems to also flare up and become more severe during this burst. It went away after a week altogether and now it has come back in the exact same capacity and feeling. Just the whole area burning and some minutes it burns one place and some minutes another and some everywhere with aggravated urethra. Saw a walk in clinic Dr yesterday and he looked at me and my rectum and said its definetly red and irritated but he didnt see a hemmerhoid fissure or lesion of any sort to suggest herpes. I also have a painful slit in my butt crack that happened last time as well, far from the anus. He gave me a kit to test for pinworms which I will do tomorrow morning. But does this sound like a fair diagnosis? I told him its worse after a bowel movement and feel like my anus is ripping during one. He also didnt consider the recurrence to be part of a herpes outbreak. Please help, thanks so much!

Hi Grace,
Thanks for the pervious responses. I did seek another doctors opinion and once again he said if there are no blisters on my anus then he can't justify a test for HSV. I had that second OB type issue and it came with a headache that lasted 5 days and some serious dizziness. It went away may 5 and now it came back again on May 22. Same burning, dizziness, and fuzzy feeling constantly around my butt area. No blisters though and no obvious fissures and it's occurring in the exact same spots as before. I did alot of outdoor cycling since the last session of symptoms and was exersizing in the sun, but as I have heard sun only affects oral herpes. I don't know what to do, what do you think these symptoms can be? I have a urethritis and prostatiis issue that ive been examined for but it doesn't seem possible for that to account for these identical recurring symptoms. The first time around I had no headache and no blister whatsoever and on te second and third I still have no blisters or anything like that jut some redness and headache and tiredness . The only sexual contact I had was that finger in anus 2.5 weeks before first set of symptoms. What to do? Should I insist on HSV test from my fam or other docs i saw or is this really likely to be something else.

if you have new symptoms, go and be seen again for further evaluation.

HSV2 is an STD. Grace stated (and I agree with her) that you were not at risk for any STD.

Thanks so much for the response! So even a skin condition like HSV2 is out of the question most likely?

sounds more like a fungal infection in the butt crack area or even irritation more than anything.

irritation from an unlubed finger in the anus can be irritating and present with pain and then itching while healing. also if there was massage oil on her hand when she did it, you could be irritated from that too.

you were not at risk for a std from a hand job and a finger up the butt. no real reason to think your ongoing symptoms are from a std.
