you also are probably drying the heck out of your hands with washing them so much too. cut back on the handwashing a bit and kick up the moisturizer!

Thanks for the replies. They have taken some of my worries away. I spoke to a dermatologist's assistant today and she said it resembles Lichen Nitidus more than anything else.
whitlow isn't going to show up now 3 months later. whatever is going on, it's very unlikely to be herpes whitlow from this gal.

You should be alright to go ahead and get tested for a type specific HSV test. And, unless you had your whole hand up her, then I doubt you have it on the back of your hand. It would more than likely be located on your fingers bud.
Thanks for the reply,
I do admire her for being honest. She didnt have to be. She was a good person but a coupe weeks after we broke up, she had found a new man and seems to be very happy with him. We still talk and are friends. - I noticed the bumps when I had finished cleaning the carpet in my vehicle with resolve (I had washed my hands frequently that day because of fear of germs). The bumps haven't spread anywhere else on my hands or body.
Had washing no doubt....
You jump to conclusion with out getting a test done first...... Aleast she was honest with you once whe seen it was getting serious. From my research there is a good amount of people out there that do not know they have it and pass it on if there never have any OB's whatso ever. For whatever reason on how she got it. you was attracted to her for a reason You may have missed out on being with a good person.
