Preventing shedding

Hi ... so I see a lot of posts talking about there is no cure. So yes, we understand that now. But what can we do to help our bodies fight the virus and keep it from shedding. I am talking about people who have hsv2 but never experience outbreaks. But If you read online you will see a lot of people talking about the shedding is just as dangerous as if their are sores present.... so if their is no cure, and viral shedding occurs... the obvious question is how do we prevent the shedding. The obvious answer is by boosting the immune system. I read that  olive leaf extract helps keeps the virus from spreading.... don't know about you but natural treatments are way better then capsules that can effect your liver...  I definitly would  drink olive leaf extract to help my immune system keeping the virus inactive and also fight it from replaciting and causing shedding. On this board all they talk about is thwir is no cure... well if their isnt we should change the way you look at it... and since its not life threating and most people who have it care more about transmitting it then we should tackle the virus and make sure it doesn't ******* sheds!! Somtimes the answer is simple use the power of the universe which is natural treatments look around you, the beach , threes, fruits, vegetables... animals get sick 2 and they just use natural treatments to treat themself... so why can't we ?

I totally understand what you are saying. I will answer like this: we have become a society dependent on the medical community and pharmaceuticals. Doctors [who know antibiotics are useless against viruses] have prescribed antibiotics for viruses so often that now we have several bacteria that are antibiotic resistant, including TB, which was once easily curable. People one to take one little pill, rather than making any change to their eating or lifestyle. It's sad, but true. I typically treat my minor illnesses with over-the-counter & natural remedies.  I've known about l-lysine since the 80's.  However, I just read about monolaurin [lauric acid] and tea tree oil. So, I'm heading out to the herbal shop to see if I can get these items.

This is based on a healthy immune system and the 15% is over the course of a year so to speak. The pill inhibits the virus frrom multiplying.

Also I can see you are the type of person that does everything by the book, as you completely ignore the fact that a healthy immune system should block the shedding. I mean what does the pill has that you can't get naturally?

15% of the time , what does that mean,
Like everyday i'm shedding it or what?

Hi, taking antivirals is the only way to reduce shedding. Hsv2 genital sheds about 15% of the time
