It is very, very unlikely that you would ever get hsv1 from sharing drinks, vapes, eating utensils, etc.
Since you take Enbrel, though, you should know that you can get other things this way - colds, flus, covid, strep, etc.
Have you ever taken an hsv1 test? Chances are good that at 40, you already have it and just don't know it. If it will cause you anxiety to know you have it, don't test.
I hope you are in treatment for your anxiety, though. Therapy can really help.
The thing about hsv1 is that 80 percent of the population has it. Many get it in childhood. It's not a big deal. You had one shared moment with a vape pen. Could you have transmitted herpes? Anything with the mouth like that has the potential. Canker sores are not hsv 1. Cold sores are different. Canker Sores are painful white or yellow sores that only form inside the mouth, usually on the insides of the cheeks or lips or on the tongue. Cold sores are more a cluster of blisters that will first appear clear or cloudy. They sell otc products for cold sores/hsv 1 blisters, It's that common.
