Possible herpes

So i first noticed a small single bump on the very base of my penis. Looked kinda like a ingrown hair at first. IT got a little bigger and more clearly red after about 3 days. There is no pain, no tingling, no pus or fluid, only vary mild and infrequent itching. From a lot of the pictures iv'e seen online it does not look like herpes at all. I do have eczema but never had it down there before. But i am no expert by any means so it could be. I did experiencing flu like symptoms shortly after i first discovered it. But i was out really late the night sweating and got rained on before the cold symptoms started. So hopefully thats how i got the cold

But i was worried so i went to the Doc and got a zpack for my cold had an STD lab work done and wass all clean. But I didn't realize that they test you for everything but herpes unless you specifically ask to be tested for it. So i schedule testing for Monday but wanted to get any answers i could sense im very nervous and worried about having herpes.

So is it normal to have little to no symptoms other than just a single reddish bump? Once again there is no pain, no burning, no tingling, and very mild itching. It is a single reddish bump that is flat and smooth to the touch. There are no small white bumps no other symptoms other than what i can see. I am 2 weeks in and my cold/flu symptoms are almost gone but the bump is almost healed and turning flesh colored. It never formed a scab or became crusted over.

That's encouraging. Only the test can tell me for sure and i am aware of that but not having an answer for the next possible week is a little nerve recking especially sense from what i have read and seen looks like i got a 50/50 shot at having it. But i dont seem to have any of the defining symptoms. So i'm definitely leaning towards not having it but i don't know what mild symptoms mean. And i also read there can be no signs or symptoms.

Hi, out breaks can be very mild but most often when a sore does appear, its a small blister type with clear fluid and once it pops it spreads the virus to the immediate area in a cluster type formation. From what you describe it does not appear a herpes sore.
