Can I trust my test results?
Hello there again so I finally convinced my dr to give me the herpes test it was takin 7 weeks an 5 days after all tht time thg happened to me which if u read my previous post U will kno. I still hurt down there sum an still get occasional bumps not in no cluster of nothin an I still have a red scrotum. I called my dr today an she said tht my test came back negative for type 1 an 2 an I had other test dne for like sugar an stuff an those were good too. Can I trust my negative herpes test results an move on wt my life?, or do I need to get tested again after a while?
for info on types of herpes tests, google the free herpes handbook by Terri Warren. She has a whole section in it on herpes blood testing. Your provider can order your type specific herpes igg blood test for you or if you are in the US, you can place the order through an online testing company like tstd.org and get it drawn at a local lab.
The test was called the herpes virus 6 Dna qualitative-quest or herpes virus 6 Dna pcr qualitative

no,it wasn't the best test at all. Herpes is not a blood borne virus so testing for it via blood through pcr outside of research purposes is of little use. Your provider totally wasted your time and money.

Yes I'm sure I had a pcr blood test Dne thts wat the doctor told me THT was the best test. An ive went to the doctor like 5 times over this they thnk im jus crazy an paranoid but my old symptoms R back
herpes pcr blood testing was the wrong testing to get. are you sure that is what you had done?

Hi, you have 25 previous replys and should stick to the same post as going back to re-read is very confuing and time consuming. Testing at 8 weeks is a good indicator but 3 months would be conclusive.
