this could be many things going on. continue to follow up with your provider. ask your current partner to follow up with testing on their end of things. this could be herpes but it's more likely to be something else going on from the sounds of things just like I originally said.
We have I was tested this summer for the HIV, Syphilis, gonorrhea chlamydia. Not for herpes. But since my blood test came back negative on September 21 and I haven't been with anyone since early May since before my current partner of three weeks now. I feel certain that this new partner gave it to me if I have herpes. My real big question now is that from reading about symptoms the common is to itch or tingle before an outbreak of vesticles. which are small clusters of pimple like looking bumps right? and then they grow or turn into blisters and open ulcers that eventually scab over and heal. For me it seems like I skipped the vesticle stage immediately going to having very itchy spots of open irritated skin. They were not pus or liquid filled there was no way I could 'pop' them. And now they are scabbing over. Also this is another important question for you: the three spots on the underside of my bottom appeared Tuesday. They have started to scab over yesterday on Thursday. Do herpes usually appear and then scab over in a three day cycle?? I'm sorry this is long winded :/
your partner should get tested to see what their status is for herpes. odds are they've never been tested before. With a new partner it's certainly worth ruling it out in you both. also have you discussed std testing and such?
also genital herpes, doesn't just cause symptoms on the vaginal area either. You can have them anywhere in the boxer short area as we call it. you don't even have to have anal sex to have symptoms of it in the anal area.
No I wasn't but I was in the past week with a confirmed yeast infection. It just seems so bizarre to not be on my vagina if its herpes. I have had unprotected sex with a new partner the last three weeks. The rash did seem to scab over until my doctor took the culture sample..and there is clear fluid when I dap at it with a napkin. It just doesn't come to a head like a blister should.
usually it doesn't. doesn't make it better, doesn't make it worse.
when you were seen this last time, did they test you vaginally for yeast and bacterial infections too?
If it IS herpes though will the anti fungal cream cause extra pain or discomfort or worse?
either go back to be seen again, see a different provider or even just buy otc antifungal cream and start treating this 2x/day. any jock itch product is fine or if you happen to have any of the topical creams that sometimes come with the female yeast infection packs for external application are fine too.
No they didn't. I hope very much its a fungal infection. I did have a yeast infection the week before this appeared.
did they test you for anything else? this sounds like a fungal infection more than anything.
