Symptoms?

Hello,

I had my last blood test for herpes on June 7th and was negative, and have only had one protected sexual encounter since then on June 8th. I have been tested for all other STD's after that and was negative, but I know it is too early for another blood test for herpes.
This morning (1 month later) I woke up with 4 pinhead sized red bumps on my inner thigh (just outside/at the edge of the hairline, below where the crease of your leg meets your hip, hence my worry) and one larger one about an inch away. They do not itch or burn and do not look fluid filled. Yet their location is worrying me as they do not look like ingrown hairs either.

I obviously have a lot anxiety about these symptoms but am just wondering what the likelihood of having this mild of an initial outbreak is? after 1 month?//from one encounter?//the location?//no itching, burning or other symptoms?

I am in Canada and the last time I tried to get bumps swabbed for herpes they said they could not because there was no open sore, but I know that herpes can present in many ways, so I guess here is my only option to find some clarity.

Thank you.

No expert will recommend going through all this for any single protected exposure. Dave is right. You have posted a lot. That's not a bad thing as you can post any questions you want. That being said you obviously know what primary outbreak symptoms to look out for and should have a very good knowledge of the virus by now. I highly suggest  (and I mean absolutely no disrespect here at all) you seek out a mental health professional to deal with your deep fear of this. It will hurt your future relationships and I would hate for that to be your fate on this.

having anxiety over the possibility of having herpes is understandable and expected... Although at this point know that having anxiety won't change what your true status is... Your best option is to wait at least four months after the encounter you are concerned about and have a blood test... Your symptoms don't necessarily sound like herpes to me...

hi, you do have alot of anxiety about herpes as youve posted upward of 76 times. What your describing doesnot suggest herpes as the location for an initial outbreak is wrong and the timing is to long. Testing for herpes everytime you have an affair is really not recommended.
