Igg results

my culture came back positive for HSV 1, the doctor administered a swab sample. I also did two blood tests.

My Igg results were 0.08

My igm results came back negative which the nurse says indicates active infection which makes since.

This is my first outbreak and I noticed it from the 23rd and got treatment on the 30th and I am on viral antibodies. My infection is almost completely cleared.

I'm just wondering if my current partner passed it on to me ( we have been having sex about a month now)
How do I bring it up to him that he should get tested?
Any insight please.

Thanks life!! I appreciate you for being responsive. Does anybody have any tips on how to tell someone that they gave it to you?

I got the swab on my labia. About three days after having a weekend honeymoon of intercourse I had an outbreak. This is my first outbreak I believe.

Hi, What area did they swab? A positive swab and a negative blood test means its a recent infection, maybe from exposure 2 weeks back as that is the average time for first time outbreaks. It would appear he gave it to you from oral sex so have him tested as well and if hes positive for hsv1 from a blood test and hes the only person youve been with for the last 2 months and he gave you oral sex, then he would be responsible UNLESS the blood test was a false negative as tests do miss 5% of infection but i would rule that out.
