Atypical first genital herpes outbreak???

Forgive me: this might be lengthy. Timeline: 35 days and counting....After being faithful to one person for 14 years, I had brief unprotected genital contact with a man (10 seconds), quickly corrected with use of a condom, something I had not had to use in over 10 years (and a possible irritant). 3 days later I had unprotected sex with my long-term partner, in the course of which I experienced some abrasion due to insufficient lubricaton. I woke up the next morning feeling strangely sore and experiencing the first attack of guilt-induced panic.  My vagina grew increasingly tender and irritated, and I experienced a brief tingling feeling that I attributed to anxiety. A week post that risky contact, I convinced myself I merely had a yeast infection, though I had never had one in my life.  I inserted one of those 1-day treatment ovules, which burned like crazy, and waited for things to improve.  Unfortunately, I had a terrible reaction to the ovule. 10 days after possible exposure, I went to planned parenthood.  A nurse practitioner examined me at length and said I did not have warts, genital lesions or, on sight, any infection.  I had some white discharge caused by the ovule and what she describes as a fire-truck red inflamed vagina.  She performed all tests they had available and gave me a prescription for herpes bloodwork.  I knew that without lesions, and so shortly after exposure, the risk of a false negative result would be high, so I asked the man I had risky contact with to submit to a PockIt test.  It came up negative. Meanwhile, my tests for bacterial infections and STDs (OTHER THAN HERPES) came up negative as well.  Also: no UTI, and no difficulty with, or burning during, urination.
I knew I would be traveling, so I asked my doctor to prescribe Valtrex anyway, and started taking it, terrified I could have a full-blown first outbreak abroad and no access to medical help.  Exactly 20 days after exposure (and 17 days after onset of "irritation") I left the country.  The irritation was barely noticeable by this point, but persistent. At 21 days I developed pimples on my buttocks.  I did not worry initially because I had gotten waxed a few days earlier.  It seemed, however, an unusually large number.  I continued with the Valtrex, applied tea tree oil, aloe, and washed often.  I have no pain when I urinate, no vaginal symptoms at this point, but my pimples and the irritation (not quite pain) persisted, and have now spread to the top back portion of my thighs.  I am still abroad and freshly out of Valtrex.  I have started applying unscented baby powder to relieve chafing, but am totally freaked out.  After 20 days of Valtrex therapy, and still a week from returning home, I am afraid the interruption of therapy will trigger a horrible response.
I am terrified.  It is now 35 days past exposure and 31 days post initial reaction and these symptoms give no sign of disppearing.  They just keep...moving around.  Please note I have not witnessed any pimple leak fluid.
What do you think?  And, if this has, indeed, been a first outbreak, how much longer can it continue???? It has been almost 5 weeks since onset of symptoms!!!!!  Any ideas or advice?

I did a home test at 6 weeks and 4 days it was negative.  Now waiting for doctor test at 8 weeks.  Let us know what results are.
What is a home test? What is a pokit test ..thank you from Canada
A home test, is where you can order a kit to be sent to ur house, and they'll ask for whatever they need like saliva, blood, pee and then you send it back and they test it and let you know.

stop the valtrex. there's no need for it. it's not likely you have genital herpes going on and continuing to take suppressive therapy can interfere with you getting accurate answers soonest.

you had a one time protected encounter. this was incredibly low risk. don't let your guilt convince you that what is going on has to be due to herpes.  Your symptoms don't really sound like herpes going on at this point anyways.  More like a folliculitis or some other sort of skin infection going on.

go and be seen again and get looked at again. get properly tested for yeast and bacterial infections vaginally since the self treating with otc yeast medications could've interfered with you getting accurate testing for vaginitis when you were seen originally.  I'd also stop the aloe and TTO at this point too in case any of this is a reaction to those too. even if you've used them previously without issue they can still cause reactions at any time and you don't want to add to whatever is going on and confuse your diagnosis.

this was a very low risk encounter you had. go and be seen and find out what is going on now so you can treat it and decrease your anxiety levels.
