Diagnosed with hsv1, not sure what to do

About a month ago I had a moment of stupidity and had some briefly unprotected sex with a new partner before suiting up. We have had sex again recently but used protection. Soon after our last encounter (maybe a week ago) I started feeling some mild irritation on the head of my penis, but I have no visible sores or lesions. I was also masturbating a lot recently and I might have irritated my skin that way.

But just to be safe I decided to get a full 10 test panel and it came back HSV1 positive with an Igg of 32.20, which seems very high. HSV2 was negative.

I vaguely remember having cold sores on my lips as a kid (I'm 35), but I was never tested or treated for HSV1. I have had other STD screenings but never tested for herpes because I never had symptoms.

Does a higher Igg indicate I've had his for a long time? Does it mean I'm more contagious now, or more likely to have an outbreak?

I'm also kind of obsessing over the mild irritation on my penis. I've read that herpes prodrome can last a few days, and potentially not ever evolve into a full outbreak- is that typical?

In general- it seems like I probably contracted oral HSV1 as a kid and just found it about it now- but is it possible that it's a more recent thing and I'll have an outbreak soon? Do I need to get on medication?

Thanks for reading.

Yes, this is a well established oral infection. Contracting hsv1 from genital to genital intercourse is incredibly rare.
Hsv1 oral is as you know extremely common. So my advice is to inform future partners you have oral hsv1 (cold sore) and go about your business as you always have. If a cold sore develops then obstain from kissing and giving oral sex. That's all you can do

To clarify, I did receive unprotected oral sex from my recent partner. Is it possible that this is a source of a recent infection? Or do the high igg numbers indicate a longer time of exposure?

The number indicates a long term infection. I haven't had anyone test with a high value so soon. Plus your symptoms were not hsv related at all.
