Your health providers are spot on. Nothing you suggest by way of symptoms is suggestive of herpes. Why do you persist with the thinking that it is?
A primary genital infection with HSV1 is usually not a confusing issue. Multiple lesions would result. Sometimes, and only sometimes, accompanying the lesions may be some other symptoms.
Hi, thanks for you response. Well I've never had any sort of genital troubles before. And I did have small red "lesions" that never hurt or blistered or anything on the tip of my penis that persisted for several weeks and cleared after using anti fungal cream. I've had back pack and some kind of "sore" that appeared in the anal area which I showed my provider and he quickly dismissed it as nothing. I guess the main issue is that I feel guilty about what I did, and want to assure myself that I'm a healthy young man. There's also a lot of contradicting information on the Internet and it's easy to get caught up. I'm very ashamed of this situation
The guilts is an amazing thing, it can generate all sorts of symptoms or take some unassociated symptoms and come up a diagnosis of all sorts of things.
Remember most of the misinformation comes from people who do not actually have herpes but keep suggesting all sorts of weird and wonderful symptoms are related to herpes.
Thank you again for the response, is it possible then that my back pain is anxiety driven? I guess I may be under estimating the power of the mind when it comes to such a serious issue
It is probably real. Most times though we pass it off as sleeping crooked etc. The guilts mean we associate this with our concerns.
I mean I've definitely felt intermittent back pain/discomfort that lasts for several hours, however it may be stress from the months of continuous anxiety and nervousness. As I mentioned I would find it hard to believe that 2 internists with over 50 combined years of medical experience would dismiss my conditions without absolute certainty in order to protect myself and others.
I'm sorry for asking yet another question, but would HSV present itself as a rash on the penis glans for several weeks, and then re appear in the anal area in a much more severe fashion
