Worried I have herpetic whitlock

I am a 24 year old woman and I have HSV-1, which is likely from childhood, because at the time of diagnosis my now ex-boyfriend and I had never done anything sexually with anyone else.

Recently, broke up with that boyfriend and my new boyfriend (together 5 months) has had several partners in the past and the last time he was tested for STDS was a year ago, where test came back negative.  Since then he has only had sex with one girl, who only had sex with one guy.

My new boyfriend and I have engaged in solely mutual masturbation.  He had a bump on his penis, when I gave him a hand job, but did not think anything of it. I just thought it was from razor burn or something.  The next day my middle finger had a bump on the side of the middle knuckle and has a faint reddish-blue look, but no pus or little bumps.  Also, my hand and arm felt tingly while giving him a hand job.  This has happened before when I give him hand jobs.  But I did not think anything of the tingling before because I have angioedema, which causes swelling and tingling feeling from time to time.

I am worried about the risk of him potentially having herpes and not knowing it, then me contracting it.

In addition, a 1.5 months ago I was diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis(BV) and that time tested for STDS and came back negative with exception of HSV-1, which I knew before.  I was treated for BV, but I think it may have come back... or could it be herpes? My labia lips are a darker color, swelling in the area, yellowish discharge and slight burning/itching sensation, which were my symptoms previously when diagnosed with bacterial vaginosis.

What is the likelihood I have HSV-2, more specific herpetic whitlock???

it's pretty common for bv to return again. sometimes once the ph of the vagina gets "off" enough for  bv to occur, it'll keep coming back. go back to your provider to be seen and get properly tested to see if indeed it is bv again and to discuss more treatment.

you won't have symptoms of herpes whitlow the next day. whatever is going on on your hand, isn't likely to be due to herpes. be seen and have that properly checked out too.

Well let's talk about STD testing.  Never assume with STD's.  Just because he said his ex only had one partner doesn't mean she didn't have something and not knowing it.  I would highly recommend your boyfriend be tested to know his own HSV status and make sure his testing includes HSV as it is not always part of routine testing.

Masturbation holds no risk for STD's and nor would herpes show up the next day.

You need to speak to your doctor about your BV coming back.  The yellowish discharge is good enough for me to suggest you be seen by your provider for a workup.
