Sure doesn't sound like herpes whitlow. Whitlow is usually very obvious and painful. It also usually doesn't jump around on the hand. Most outbreaks are in the same spot
The ulceration was so small they were very dismissive about it and told me to stop worrying. She asked. If I wanted to have a scrapping done but I wasn't sure if digging at it was the right approach. No swab taken. Woke up this morning with a new sore spot on my thumb
Did you go to the dr when you had your original outbreak? Herpes whitlow is rare and the blisters are usually extremely painful. I would get any lesions or ulcerations swabbed and pcr tested for hsv
