herpes or something else?
I received unprotected blowjob from a stranger girl. She seemed like a floozy so i got really paranoid and started cleaning my penis with soap vigorously. Two days after that a blister appeared on the tip of my penis. I went to the doctor and he said it looks like herpes but he cant be sure until he does a swab test. So i got a swab test, a urine test, and a blood test for all STDs (chlam, gonno, syphill, etc). Everything came back negative. And the blister went away within 2 days of putting hydrocortisone cream. So i thought i was having a rash due the soap, which irritated the area.
Two months later, I had unprotected sex on a monday with my girlfriend and two days later i woke up and saw that my penis head was a little red(under the foreskin). I was being lazy, after sex i did not wash myself for two days. So i thought its just a rash that built up due to that. So i went and bought some over the counter vaginal yeast infection cream and put that on. it seemed to make it better. three days of applying the cream, made itchiness go away but fourth day i didn't apply the cream, and it came back. So i went to the doctor and showed my junk, doc said it doesnt look like anything, its probably a rash. She ruled out STD because i had recently done some tests. She said not to worry. ButI also have a sore throat. She then prescribed me penicillin for my sore throat and flucidin for my penis. I have been applying it daily for three days. it made it better. But itchiness comes and goes and the redness comes and goes. I don't know if it is in my head or I have something serious. Is somebody having the same issues. There is no discharge. But sometimes during the day, when i pee it makes my penis cool and itchy. I am so scared. I don't know what to do. some help. So, I forgot to mention a few details. The first time I went to the doc, he said its herpes and put me on Valtrex. But, when I went back for the swab results. He told me to not take it because it was negative....When I had sex with my girlfriend after two months of no other symptoms, I remember there being a little friction when I entered her. I had to do open my foreskin all the way down during sex as it wasn't all the way down. I specifically remember that it kind of stung me as somebody would be rubbing my penis without lubrication. So fast forward to now...I have the flu (it has been going around work, i had a scratchy throat, fever). I have been applying that cream(FUCIDINE). I don't have any irritation but redness hasn't gone away. But, I am having burning sensation on the shaft of my under the right side near my testicles. Also, I am feeling same burning sensation on my left hand between my thumb and index finger. I am halfway through my course of penicillin. And today after shower I was inspecting my penis, I saw a small number of bumps on my penis head between my foreskin and the tip(inside the joining part). I am so worried. I don't know what to do. I can't stop thinking about it. I have been reading up on what it could be? Yeast infection, Psoriasis, Balanitis, Herpes, etc. But my mind keeps saying its herpes, which is what I am scared of. If I do have it, I probably deserve IT.

So went to see the doctor. She seemed to be more concerned about the testicle pain over the redness of the glans. She said "You dont have herpes!!! or any other STD" There are many causes of this rash you are having. But she did a urine test for me again Chlam and Gon. I am just awaiting results. In the meantime, she referred me to a urologist. I went and saw him....he looked at my tip and said that I have uretheritis and put me on a course of flagyl. He said to keep the penis clean. and keep applying fucidin H. But the topical cream hasn't really cleared the roughness and redness of my glans. It doesnt itch anymore but looks hideous. I am still awaiting results. Hoping its no STD. From my own research, I am 80% sure its Balanitis but i don't know if its fungal or bacteria. Also, do you think it could be HIV?? I haven't been sleeping much due to this.
Most hsv transmissions occur from unprotected vaginal sex. Oral is a low risk activity. Testing 3 months post exposure would be conclusive unless your value falls below 3 then a second test for a possible false positive would be recommended.
Do you think what i mentioned about valtrex in the last comment is a possibility?until i go to doc get tested and receive a result i.e. either in favor or not. i will be stressed. I dont hv any pain but i do feel tingling in my penis right below the glans on both sides. All the pics of STDs pretty much look the same and have similar symptoms. so it could be anything. It feels like herpes in my head. I dont wanna pass it on to my girlfriend. I am soo ashamed that I cant look people in the eyes right now. Feel kind of depressed. Big baby...i know. But thanks for your replies, they are giving me hope.
The only reason I keep thinking its Herpes is because I took Valtrex for 2 days and that blister went away. But I stopped after the swab results as instructed by the doc. Also, after the blister went away, it left the colour of skin a little dark on my tip. I keep thinking that Valtrex might have stopped my first outbreak if I had contracted herpes 2 months ago. I think my mind keeps playing tricks on me. I am in a great deal of stress as it is from some situation at home.

Your mouth issues are not related to her giving you oral sex. Since you came back negative for std,s then rule them out. Tingling is referred to as prodrome but is often associated with those who already had an outbreak. Also if you did contract herpes the first outbreak would be on the contact area which would be the shaft of pubic area not on the buttox area. These breakout area would be for those with active herpes outbreaks already.

i got tested twice after the first scare once after 4 days and then couple of weeks after that, just to make sure. and everything came out negative. Doc at that time said not to do Herpes blood test at that time as it takes about 3 months to show up. I do feel some tingles in my buttocks. Also when I am laying on my back....burning is way better. I have been having dry cough for about 3 months now in my sleep. I did masturbate this morning when i got up, there was no pain. Also, it doesnt hurt or burn when I pee. I am still using ointment for my glans and taking penicillin + advil for my flu and fever.
Also, I neglected to mention. there was a mucous cyst that appeared in my mouth. It was not painful...it did not form a pus head. It was just there and now its going away...almost gone. While I had this cyst....I accidentally bit it and it became really big but its almost gone now. Still does not appear herpes related. Exterior shaft irritation could be yeast/fungus. Interior could be and std like chlamydia and if you have something like this and was not treated it could spread to your epidemus and cause testicle inflamation. But bottom line is receiving oral from a person of unknown status is low risk activity.
You mentioned you had testing for these and was negative but 5 days would be the test window not 2 days.

sorry to bother you again, my right testis and shaft is burning constantly for past two days. Also my left hand burns once in a while. Also, my right testicle is hung really low. And I see some sort of swelling to it. Also, tip of penis looks red. and it looks like a blister is about to appear in the same spot i got 2 months ago. I know I should be getting tested. I am going to go tomorrow. Since, its a holiday today where I live.

Herpes sores show up more on the shaft not the penis tip. Testing is the only way to rule out herpes the igg herpes select

Hi, doesent really seem herpes related. Just a note. Swabs are great for showing a positive but also infamous for showing a false negative. If you want to rule out herpes then have a herpes select igg type specific test
