My primary infection resulted in sores inside the mouth and it was due to HSV1. It's called herpes gingivostomatitis: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gingivostomatitis.
It's can be mistaken for canker sores but there are distinctions which I'm sure you'll notice. My herpes sores were blisters first (2 grouped together) and popped very quickly around my gums. It also came with lots of tingling (nerves around the mouth). Subsequent outbreaks were around the lips (some not noticeable but I could tell there were very small bumps through close inspection) and again lots of tingling. TRY NOT to lick your infection! If you're lucky your antibodies will fight off the infection in new areas but it's not guaranteed and you can re-infect other areas (everyone's body is different). I touched my lips a lot during the early outbreak and I think the top lip got a bit of the virus from the bottom lip. I've had canker sores before and they are due to deficient nutrients/vitamins or other factors such as stress..etc but it never came with clusters of blisters. Some were small open cuts inside the mouth but definitely not like the ones I got after a herpes blister.
Beer or alcohol can be a trigger but you'll discover all of this as you learn more about how your body deals with the virus. Likely you won't get the blisters inside your mouth again. Remember to keep stress to a minimal and good luck!
Hi Grace
Thank you so much. Have a good day.
oral herpes is transmitted as adults almost exclusively through romantic type kisses. you won't transmit it from sharing food and drink.
usually symptoms inside the mouth on the cheeks isn't due to herpes. just because you know you have hsv1, doesn't mean that everything that goes on in the mouth is due to herpes.
oral herpes is transmitted to the genital area through oral sex. discuss with your partner their herpes status so you can make educated decisions about what precautions to take together.
Hi Grace
The blisters on both the sides of my mouth is not visible to others unless i use my tongue from inside and project it upwards.
I never used to have pimples on my body and face but now i have few here and there. And my body always seem to be in some pain. I am using childrens toothpaste for brushing.
As long as i dont touch some girls genital and kiss them on lips, can i have sex with them?
Also by using utensils (not sharing) at home will i transfer my disease to my family? But keep the plates together etc
http://www.ashastd.org/std-sti/Herpes/oral-herpes.html have you read this info yet?
hsv1 can never turn into hsv2.
we usually only recommend treating cold sores as you have them but if you find you are having a lot of recurrences, you can consider daily therapy to help prevent some of them.
I have no idea about reporting for oral herpes where you live or contacting other partners. I doubt they do that for oral herpes.
Hi Grace
Yes i had an obvious sore just like a pimple on top of my upper lip and after 2 days it was broken and became open sore then i noticed there are group of blisters on both the sides of my mouth
Rashes on my body also. And my igg blood test result number was 3.50
so you had an obvious cold sore and they did a herpes blood test to diagnose hsv1 for you? do you know if it was igg or igm testing that was done?
