Can someone describe what herpes looks like please

Hi there. I would appreciate a description of what genital herpes (recurrent outbreaks) actually look like. I've read different things on different websites and the only conclusion I can come to is that if you have anything abnormal on your vagina/penis/bottom/inner thighs/outer thighs ITS HERPES. Google is sooo unhelpful!!!

Also can anybody please answer this question: does somebody have to have had a "first outbreak" to have recurrent ones?

Thank you

Hi, most often they are described as blister or razor type cuts. They could be itchey but having a genital herpes outbreak would be more of painful as are open sores. If your having skin issues you should have them swabbed and tested also if your sexually active then have a herpes test for the protection of others.
