You have hopefully had the right tests to identify if herpes is a possibility. There are plenty of other possibilities too.
It is more common to have herpes than not so it would not be a surprise if either or both of you have an oral HSV1 infection.
Let's see how the testing goes.
Thank you for responding, I went to the doctor 2 days ago... I am awaiting my results. I also had pain after intercouse and the next day went 3 dats later went to the doctor. The pain was unbearable but it definitely hurt like hell. It looked like torn skin and hurt for me to spread my legs apart or do any sharp sudden movements. When the doctor came in to examine me and do some testing he said it looked like I had a lesion on the inside of my vag at the bottom and would swab to make sure it was herpes. I don't think that's what it is. I never had pain like I felt that night and we both experienced pain during the same time. Surely we can not both be experiencing our first outbreak together like this, after sex. I'm now taking medicine for bacteria vaginosis and then will take a pill for yeast.. Also, I was given gel like cream to put on the tears I had on my outer lips. I am so anxious for my results. If I'm negative for it won't he be too??? I've never had a cold sore or anything of that nature btw so I couldn't have given him herpes from oral sex. ... Right?!
Yes it could be herpes, there is a bit in what you describe that means it is a possibility.
A useful thing would be for you to test as this may eliminate herpes as a possibility or identify the possible risks. You may have an oral HSV1 infection and infected him through oral sex. Maybe you have a HSV2 infection.
An IgG antibody blood test type specific for HSV1 and HSV2 is what you are after.
He could return immediately to a doctor and demand a swab, this may help identify whether it is herpes and the type. He should request a PCR test be applied and not a culture for best results.
