oral herpies

I am a young female who has just became sex active (no vaginal or anal sex). i made an impulsive and  regretful decision to give my boyfriend oral sex without a condom. My mouth made contact on him  for less then a minute . There was no signs of discharge or genital sores on him , he did not ejaculate either. I do not know if he is STD free. I am scared  if he was infected with herpies and did not know it  how likley would it be for me to get it ? what should I do? i am very scared. My mom will kill me if i contracted an STD. That is not an exaggeration.

If he did not have any genital sores the risk would be very low as shedding of hsv1 genital only occurs 3-5% of the time. Meaning the virus is on  the surface with no sores. Please dont be overly worried about this as contracting herpes from a first time affair with such a short time involved is really not something thats going to happen.

correction....i misread your post.  Shedding for hsv 2, which is the more common genital hsv is more like 15-30% of the time. If your boyfriend is also not sexually active, nothing to be overly concerned about but if he is then maybe ask him to take a herpes test to confirm his status. Testing is not so much an issue for you as your not sexually active. Also hsv2 prefers the genital area not the oral so again really  dont be overly worried.

Hi, if he did not have any penis sores are the them the risk is very low as shedding (meaning the virus is on the skins surface without any sore) is not that often like about 3% of the time, Really nothing to be overly concerned about.
