yep - that would be me , the grace at hhp too :)
odds are it isn't herpes related. such a pain to be seen every time it happens I know but until they figure out what it is, hard to know what to do about it to make it better. almost no matter what it is, holding a tucks pad as a compress in between your cheeks for 10 minutes will help. that helps for cracks from constipation/diarrhea as well as hemorrhoids. if it is herpes, it helps with that too. I know when I have ob's around my anus, it's pretty easy to tell they are herpes compared to just irritation or my hemorrhoids ( yes, I'm pretty darn attractive back there NOT!!! ) but then again I've had over 20 years to figure it all out down there.
dear grace,
Thank you for all your help, I believe I see you on racoon too. :) anyway I have one last question about H. I dont have OB's now but once in a while I got this really itchy anus not inside outside and burning feeling too. I went couples of doctor could be hemoroids or crack but its not.. so do u think this is also herpes related because it started after I got H. and can u suggested me anything to help this burning itchy feeling?
definitely need someone a bit more empathetic!!
yes. Its stop, it comes and goes but dont bother as used to be. Thanks to you. Finally I convince my doctor that I need suppresive therapy. He thinks doesnt need for genital herpes. I told him that Im having severe prodromes and he said what goes around comes around! Can you believe him.Anyway I got my prescription for valtrex and go for good. I will never visit him. :(
immune support doesn't really seem to do much for herpes. olive leaf extract also was never shown to make a difference with herpes either.
the valtrex suppressive therapy is what will keep your herpes under control.
have your pains stopped?
dear grace,
Im glad your answer. It help with my pain I also start taking immune support pills like coenzyme q10 and olive leaf capsules.? Im on valtrex for suppresive and I use vit. b12 complex.Do u think is it to much to take for 1 day? Should I stop any of it just stick with the valtrex? Im glad your help, truly
typically the leg pains go away once the ob has healed. sometimes with the first ob they linger since the virus has to run its course initially. stick with the suppressive therapy for now - if this is herpes related it should help and take the ibuprofen 600mg 3x/day for a week to help reduce inflammation in the nerves. also often soaking in the bathtub with epsom salts thrown in helps too.
I do take ibuprofen. Im an athletic 25 years old women after I exposed GHSV2 this pain never goes away sometimes lessen but it always there? Do u have the same symptoms? Can u suggest me anything for nerve pain? İs this common or it can cause permenant nerve damage :( Im so scarred its been month. I went to doctor for it and he said herpes doesnt cause leg pain but I read on the internet there are several people who suffers from the same pain. please help grace. I can't stop thinking this virus everyday :( :( I want my life back
acyclovir and valtrex work about the same. one isn't better than the other - you just take valtrex less often than you do acyclovir.
if you are still having pain a month later, return to be seen again. Are you taking pain relievers regularly like ibuprofen? not sure what options you have where you are at.
That is true, it does prevent some risk of herpes transmission.
I have all the syptoms during my OB btw. Also I have no OB almost a month but still my left leg and buttock is ache, burning, shooting pain like twiching :( is this normal how can I stop this pain in my leg can u suggested me something? And do u think which one is better acyclovir or valtrex? Sorry I dont wanna bother you but Im desperate :( I dont know whom to talk
there are false positive issues with hsv2 igg blood testing. a lesion culture of symptoms that was + would confirm your status better.
thank you very much. I will tell him to get tested. In my blood I have HSV1 negative and HSV2 positive probably its only hsv2 :( I hope he didnt catch it my emotinal stress keeping me down :( I need a professinal help but no one understand me
that is VERY inaccurate information. condoms unfortunately only reduce the risk of herpes transmission by 30%.
grace
Since he used a condom it is impossible for him to contracted herpes.
I can't really help much with your blood testing since you are outside of the US. Your current partner also needs tested to know his own status - assume nothing about who you got hsv2 too. If you can find a local herpes support group, Hopefully someone there can look at the testing you had done to see if it was accurate or not.
lysine isn't really effective for herpes. no reason to be taking it or any special vitamins. Oral zinc isn't effective either. The acyclovir you are taking daily is what will help you, not the other supplements.
it's unfortunate that they didn't also do a lesion culture on your symptoms to confirm that indeed you really do have hsv2 :(
