possible first out break

After wearing tight fitting boxers for a few days without showering, I woke up with a small red perfect circle on the tip of my penis. It is painless and looks more like the mosquito bite on my shoulder than herpes. Does this sound more like ring worm or syphilis? Also, I had unprotected sex about a month ago, had blood and urin tests done after which both came back negative. Should I be super worried about having herpes all weekend?

-painless
-one bump
-no puss

Went to the doctor today, showed him the bump and he assured me that it was a "chiggers" bite and that I just had it in a very unlucky place.

If anyone is reading this and doesn't have the herpes symptoms, just a bump, take a deep breath, get tested and who knows it could be some bug/mite you never new existed.

"Chiggers" are common in the mid west, summertime and if you're out doors a lot.

Hope this helps someone!

Thank you for the response, like I said its one very small pimple looking bump, day two, no pain going to see a doctor tomorrow or monday. Do this sound like herpes? I'm just extremely paranoid and trying to keep calm.

Hi and welcome, I would only be guessing at the red spot but it does make sense as maybe connected to you not bathing. But then again unprotected sex is a high risk for all stds and the only way to know is get tested to confirm. Symptons showing up a month later is a bit late for these but again sometimes they do take time. If you tested in the proper times and came back negative then you dont have them. Below is post exposure test times for them. Normally testing is not advised unless there are symptoms like urethra discomfort and/or burining while urinating.
Herpes-------3 months
syphilis-----6 weeks
