recuring herpes 2 in different body locations????

Hello, I have been to 4 doctors and cant seem to get any answers. I have been tested and it has come back as hsv2. I get 1 lesion at a time, first was on my arm, than my face, stomach,  knee, neck, scalp etc. It keeps moving around and can be on either side of my body. It has come back more than one time in the areas mentioned above.

I never no where it is going to show up. This has been going on for about a year and 1/2. Lesions not as severe as at first but still often enough. It seemed to slow done for months and has now started up again, every few weeks.

Of the dr's I have seen, they just say its very strange but if the results say it's herpes type 2, than it is. Only one dr told me he wasnt convienced but than he moved his office out of the area and I havent seen him again. I have had many test done from blood work to swab tests and all positive for type 2.

I just need some peace of mind that this is not anything more serious.

Has anyone had/have any symtoms like this????? I cant seem to find a dr. that have any answer than I havent seen this before but thats what it is.

Any help is very much appreciated!!!!

see your dermatologist now - it's really unusual to get recurrences like that.

you might also want to pay to post to Terri Warren, our herpes expert here on medhelp too.

can you have herpes lesions on this many different body parts? You can but it's certainly very unusual to have them.

at this point all you can do is to continue to follow up with a dermatologist as needed. have you considered daily suppressive therapy to keep recurrences few and far betweeen?
