very concerned
OK so this past july 30 -31st (being drunk and stupid) I recieved very breif 30sec to 1 min oral sex from a stripper and brief mutual masturbation. when she asked about me paying for sex I stopped a thought it best to leave.
On Monday Aug the 2nd 3rd i started having urges of frequent urination with a slight burning sensation at the tip of my penis. the fallowing day the symptoms went away.
On Friday Aug 6th i started feeing discomfort in my urethra mid way down my penis to what felt like the base, witch would come and go. It felt as though the sensation would leave when i was distracted.
On sat the 7th I went to the clinic to talk to a doctor about it witch at this time the discomfor in my penis was almost gone, he didn not do an exam as I told him i could see nothing that lookid like a lesion, blister, or boil on or around my genitals.. he told me to drink plently of fluids as sometimes irritation can be cause when introduced to an unfamiliar source/persons bodily fluids. He took a urine sample for Chlymidea, Gonorrhea, took some blood work for HSV 1 and 2, and syphillis.
The symptoms returned monday the 9th, some irritation on ruinating at the tip of my penis that is very mild, the discomfort that started in my urethra at the base of my penis felt as though ut was moving towards my bladder, and my testicles had a vague dull ach.. so I went back in and saw his wife, she had Rx Azithromycin, Flagyl, and Suprax to cover me for chlymidia, Gonorrhea, trichamons. just in case... and also swabbed my uretha for Trichomonas. Not to mention she Rx'd Alprazolam for my distress.
Today I the result from my tests were:
Hep B: showed protective immunity
RPR Syphilis: pending
Urine Chlymidea: Negative
Urine Gonorrhea: nNgative
IgG for HSV 1 and HSV 2: Negative
IGM for HSV 1 and 2: Pending
I went to see my PCP for a second opinion and she was under the impression that people could not get HSV-2 orally. ant that i didnt have much to worry about.
When I asked if it could be Trichomonas she told me that, trich can not be spread orally eaither (is this true?).
I have been inspecting my penis almost every waking hour and am Paranoid that I may have contracted Herpes because I never do things like this and after that stupid night will never again..
I guess what I'm asking is if someone could please tell me the likelyhood of getting HSV -1 or HSV-2 from brief oral sex and some brief mutual masturbation.
as I sit here typing this now it feels as thou the discomfort that was moving up my penis is making its way into my bladder.. I just urinated and the slight burning senation is practically gone along with the urinary frequency, but there is still a vague dull ach in my testicles.
As I have inpected my groin over and over again I find areas that I believe are changing in color or i think i see a change but on later inspection find it norma, I hope this is just my paranoia..

1) ave read that prodromal symptoms come befor an out break. Does this apply to all outbreaks including your first, or outbreaks after your first.
2) And with there prodromal symptom or burning, itching, and tingaling. do the do away when you scratch only to come back later or are they constant?
3) you told me that i would see symptoms in 2-20 days, if i dont have any symptoms by then what would be the likely hood i can discard it being herpes.
4) and finally you told my that my symptoms don't sound like GH. I have been tryin to read up on IgG and IgM tests for HSV.
My IgG for both HSV 1 and 2 have come backe negative. its my understanding that they measure Chronic infection/antibody response.
And IgM measure acute infection/antibody response.
1) how long will it take for HSV to show up on a IgM test?
2) could I still get a false positive though I have never been exposed to HSV 1 or 2?

odds are you'd see symptoms within 2-20 days of infection.

If it were HSV 1 or 2 how soon would i see a lesion or blister or sore appear. and is there a chance that someone can contract HSV and never have a primary outbreak?

the short time and also oral sex in general is pretty low risk for std's.
not many folks have hsv2 orally and those who do, hardly ever shed the virus to transmit it to a partner.
if the testicular pain gets worse or is still there by monday, return to your provider for further evaluation.

Thanks for your reply, but i must say im am still concerned with the tender testicle situation i have..
I;ll refrain from masturbation for now and sexual activity untill all my test results come back.
May I ask why you think my risk of this being a STD is incredibly small? is it because of the short amount of time it lasted? and why is the risk of hsv2 small as well?

your symptoms do not sound like genital herpes. you can get hsv2 from oral sex but the risk of such is incredibly small. hsv1 is the more common suspect.

you can get trich from oral sex but the risk of such is very small too.
sometimes normal mouth flora isn't so normal in the urogenital tract. combine it with alcohol and you can get a lot of irritation. unfortunately at this point you've had the book thrown at you antibiotic wise and you'll probably never get more accurate answers as to what was really going on. avoid masturbation and sex for a week or so so as not to prolong any irritation, drink plenty of fluids and avoid alcohol, caffeine and spicy foods during that week too.
