Need help with this number

So I'm a 23 yr old male 160 weight wise don't smoke or drink. Anyways I went to the doctors for something totally unrelated to this and as a part of their routine they do the blood pressure. At first the Nurse who took it said my blood pressure was 144/90 which to me sounded really high for someone for me. So I asked the doctor to retake it and he gave me 137/80 which seems to be just as high. I was looking online and it says 137/80 is ore hypertension and 144/90 is hypertension. So is 137/80 Normal? Btw I have started running and walking 30 mins on the treadmill and at work I walk for about 2 hours outside.

What's does a hypertensive work up have? I'm guessing it involves cholesterol check and a CBC?

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi,
How are you? I admire  you for not smoking and drinking as well as your physical activities- walking and running regularly.  Normal blood pressure is 120/80 or below. Higher than this may suggest prehypertension and hypertension. Regular blood pressure monitoring and hypertensive work-up may need to be done to determine the underlying cause. Take care and do keep us posted.
