high blood pressure

Hi... can anyone tell me if high blood pressure can cause shortness of breath? I just had it tested and it's 191/120 with a resting heart rate is 111... I'm asthmatic, but this is not the same.... I just can't seem to catch my.breath, especially when I've done very little excercise(walking)

YOUR READINGS ARE ON THE HIGH SIDE. YOU WOULD NEED INVESTIGATIONS TO GET AN IDEA OF WHATS GOING ON.
PROBABLY AN ECHO TO START AND AN ECG. BOTH SIMPLE ENOUGH TESTS. GO FOR IT, YOUR HIGH BP IS LIKELY CAUSING SOME AMOUNT OF STRAIN AND POSSIBLY LEADING TO HEART FAILURE (HEART NOT PUMPING EFFICIENTLY). DONT IGNORE IT, IT CAN BE SORTED FAIRLY QUICKLY, DONT JUST LEAVE IT. . . GO GET A REFERRAL FOR A CARDIOLOGIST

Oh my, please seek medical help immediately with your blood pressure numbers.  This is very high and dangerously so.  Seek medical help right away. good luck
