Woozy stuff

Hi guys, I was recently in ER for acid stomach and they injected a liquid into me that apparently stops me from vomiting,  I fear it so much but have no clue what it's called it made me woozy my tounge dropped to the back of my throat and I felt helpless and adgetated. I felt like moving all the time and very fidgety it was the worse feeling lasted all about 10 minutes maybe 15 but I couldn't think and felt like going crazy, can someone explain it to me why it's like that and if I can avoid getting it next time ? Do they use this drug when they go into theatre as well on patients or just for vomiting ? Please help

hi thankyou for your post, but I didn't have any
procedures done as of yet ! I just went in to see what was wrong
and then they told me to lie down in emergency
and that they were going to give me a couple of drugs
to calm me down and make the pain go away one of those drugs
apparently was meant to stop me vomiting which I wasn't vomitting
anyway that's what I was talking about that drug made me feel so woozy and crap!  please help

Hi!
In all probability a tube was inserted to look into the stomach. Before that, local anesthesia is given to numb your passage and prevent reflux. This could have happened. Or maybe no tube was inserted—they may have decided to do endoscopy so gave you anesthesia but later they decided against it. Other than that it is difficult to say what it was. You could probably ask them or look at your records if given any. Take care!
