Can you get rabies from a muzzle if your skin dont have any cut or open wound?

I was at the vet today with my dog and my son, they put a muzzle in my dog to prevent him to try to stop the vet to check his tail ( hot spot). After they finish and gave me meds and indications, my son decided to touch the muzzle and becuase I suffer severe OCD inmidiatly I asumme that my son will have rabies from touching that muzzle ( maybe from another dog, mine have his vaccinations up to date), I asked them and they said that they always wash every muzzle after using it on a dog, and put a new one on the next dog, anyway I check my sons hands and he did not have any cut and he said the muzzle was dry, but my OCD tells me that all that is a lie and he will have rabies for touching that muzzle. Please help. i cant sleep and Im trembling , woth panic attacks.

Firstly, I"m sure they do disinfect each muzzle. But even if they didn't you have to have an open wound for saliva to get in for it to give one rabies.

Also, contact with the eyes, mouth nose with saliva from the animal that has rabies.

Thanks mkh9 for your answer. i had called them 3 times and they reassured me that they wash every muzzle after they used with one pet, and also my son had no cuts or bounds and he told me that he felt the muzzle was dry when he touched. also a Vet told me that will need a lot of saliva for passing the ilness . is like everybody have some opinion and Im jumping from opinion to another opinion and my OCD is getting completly crazy.

Also my son after I check his hands and clean them with sanitazer , he used his tshirt to scratch one of his eye( touching only with the tshirt not direct with his hand), then is any risk on that.?
