Penile infection

I have a penile infection that causes itching at the head of my penis and itching of the anus.I get red spots on my penis and have been using  Canesten cream,only on my penis, I also get a coating of clear liquid at the penis head. After a week or so the itching and redness go away but then re-appears after up to 10 days later and has been happening like this for several months now. The first time this happened was about 2 years ago but it went away after a few days and has only recently come back and now it occurs a lot more regulary.

Hi, I  had a similar infection on my thigh. It was a pain because it came coming back. Alot of the time creams don't work because of the area the infection is in. You might want to try to put it on after a shower..wait til your dry and put on the cream. Stay in your towel for a while to where your skin can absorm the cream. When its covered by boxers or underwear sometimes it wipes it off or it makes the area damp. If nothing is working got back to your doc and as for an oral treatment. They'll give you short supply of medication to treat the infection. You also want to ask your doc if it could be any other type of infection (viral vs bacterial)
