I am bitten by a mad dog on 20th April(and she died very next day). I washed the wound with soap and applied dettol over it. I had two anti-rabies injection on(20th and 23rd April). After injection I was feeling headache, dizziness and my arm swallowed little bit. The skin around wound is also turned bluish. Is it because of dettol?. However bite was not intense and not deep. I was bitten by a dog earlier in 2010. Then I completed my anti-rabies course(0,3,7,14,28 day injection) and HRIG(I searched that) injection into my wound with 3rd day ARV injection. However that dog was not rabid infected(i guess). I got checked up in govt hospital. And I didn't found any private rabies expert here(Bikaner, India). So my question is how much should I worry and what else I could do other than ARV injection to prevent myself. Is there any medical test for rabies immunity? And what kind of speacilist do look into these kind of cases?
